If you would like to be prayed for by the elders or a pastor please contact us here.
What has been your experience with healing? Please describe, leaving time for others to share their experiences. Include times when you/someone was/were not healed.
A. Read Isaiah 53:4-5
a. What does “by His stripes we are healed” mean to you?
b. Some Christians believe that “physical healing is not for today”. How do you respond?
c. Some Christians believe that everyone can/should be healed. How do you respond?
B. It takes faith & God’s will to be healed.
a. Read Mt. 9:27-30. What do you get from this passage? Doesn’t this suggest that it if only I have faith, I can be healed?
b. Read Mt. 8:3. What do you gain from this story? Doesn’t this suggest Jesus is willing to heal?
c. Read Jn. 9:1-12. What from this passage strikes you as pertinent?
C. Sometimes it appears not to be God’s will/plan to heal.
a. Read Galatians 4:13. What does is say? What does it mean? To you? Describe a time when God used an illness, etc. to direct or show you something?
b. Read 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. What clues do we have about what Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” was? (Gal. 4:15; 6:11)
c. What is a physical issue that you deal with that you believe God is calling you to continue to deal with? Why? What are you learning? Is there a testimony to some, you might not otherwise have?
Conclusion: Read James 5:16 and use the rest of the time to pray for each other. Pray healing; pray God’s grace…pray conversationally, for just one person at a time….then move to praying for another…until everyone has been prayed for…Along the way, confess any sins that the Holy Spirit brings to mind…confess aloud those you sense would be helpful for others to hear…
