Parental "Need To Know"
As a way for us to help serve your student better, would you please take a moment and register your student here? This helps us as a ministry be aware of any medical conditions or other information that your child may have.
Each week, our ministry consumes a large amount of snacks! We love being able to serve our students in this way. As a way for you to invest in the ministry, we ask that parents donate $40 per child to help cover these costs. If you would rather drop off your own snacks, please contact me before you do so as we have requirements on what we can and cannot serve. You can drop off checks made out to "Living Hope" to the church office. Be sure to inform our helpful office staff what the check is for!
Foundations Class App
For parents who have 7-8 grade students involved in the Sunday "Foundations Class" please note that there is an app available for download as a companion for your student's further study. Simply log onto your available app store and search for "New City Catechism."
Be sure to follow us on Instagram at @livinghope.students for the most up to date announcements!

7-8 Grade Sunday School
10:30 am | Room 205
The material we are learning is called “New City Catechism” and was developed by Pastor Timothy Keller and author respected leaders in the church today. I know that the word “catechism” may cause a question for you or your student, but I assure you that this material is well worth digging into. To see what our denomination, the EFCA, thinks of this material check out this post: https://www.efca.org/blog/understanding-scripture/benefits-catechisms
Each week students will dig into a different theological question and then invited to work it out for their lives through discussion, writing, and learning. I have attached both the “scope and sequence” for the year, as well as expectations for the students in order to graduate from the class. I walked through the syllabus with students last Sunday but would gladly answer any and all questions you have has parents.

We Need More Volunteers
I get it, volunteering in student ministry can seem intimidating! But in order to best serve these students we need a large swath of people to get the job done. We are in need of kitchen servers, group leaders, welcome and greeting team members, and just friendly faces! If you are interested in serving, please contact me!
Other events are being planned for the fall which your student will not want to miss! Sign up for our weekly "Parent Postcard" to get the inside scoop to all things student ministries, events, resources, and links to sign-ups!
