ADULTS

Every Christian is a disciple. To be a disciple means to be a follower. We follow Jesus! Discipling is doing spiritual good to someone else.

Growing as disciples and discipling others in Jesus’ mission is what we are about as a church.
This involves following and becoming more like Him as we seek to engage in His mission.

It is the goal of Living Hope for every person to be discipling another person either one-on-one or in very small groups, and to be discipled by someone else.
Who are you discipling? Who is discipling you?

The adult ministries seek to fulfill this mission as a community of believers through a variety of groups and settings that foster discipleship.

Sunday Life Communities

September - May, 9:00 AM in the Activity Center

Sunday Morning Adult Life Communities are mid-size community groups that meet from September to May before the service at 9:00 AM. We believe that a variety of contexts to meet together as the church is important for our growth as disciples. These groups are a great place to provide connection points and to do so in community. The more traditional title for this ministry could be “Sunday school,” but it’s much more than that; it’s a ministry about community, fellowship, and learning and growing together. We have several groups that meet together every Sunday morning.

Small Groups – Year Round

God has hard-wired us for community. It is vital that we are connected to others because spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments: to God and His Word, and a commitment to significant Christian relationships. For these reasons, we believe that having small groups to discuss the Bible, life, family, and faith in a relaxed environment are so important. It is our goal for everyone to plug into a small group! Living Hope’s small groups meet regularly to study God’s Word as well as support one another.

Living Hope Bible & Ministry Course

Old Testament Survey II

Winter/Spring 2025
One of Living Hope’s core values is the Word of God as it is God’s revelation and self- disclosure of himself, his plan of redemption, and his will for our lives.  Living Hope Bible and Ministry Courses are for believers in Jesus Christ who want to take next steps in developing themselves spiritually, mentally, and emotionally for Christ-honoring service to the church and world. This course is offered in partnership with Spurgeon College in Kansas City, MO and can be taken for credit completely tuition free!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Women’s Ministry exists to create environments in which women are invited into the life of following Jesus, becoming like Jesus and engaging in the mission of Jesus. Our main objective is to continually move women one step closer to Jesus along life’s way.

The foundation of our ministry is encouraging Women in the Word together.  Our weekly women’s bible studies keep this as our main focus.

LUKE IN THE LAND
Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus of Nazareth—braving jostling crowds just to touch the edge of His cloak and hear Him say, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.” Those words, once meant to comfort a hurting woman’s soul thousands of years ago, were also meant for you. Join biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world with women who came face-to-face with the Living God. With 14 sessions of video and discussion time, we will examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today. Cost of book with video download is $24.99 to be ordered online. If you need help with this or have a financial need, please contact Sue Kelly.

The Men’s Ministry seeks to encourage, equip, and enable the men of Living Hope for God-honoring service to their family, church, and community. We desire to see men: be brought into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; be encouraged and edified in their walks of faith; grow in their knowledge and application of Scripture; lead their families and others in the body of Christ; and actively disciple others and share the gospel in the community.
