Next Steps

CONNECTION LUNCH

Once a quarter, we host a Connection Lunch geared towards new attenders, members or anyone who has not yet gotten connected and found their place. Check the church calendar for the next lunch and join us for pizza and fellowship!

SERVE (HERE, NEAR & FAR)

Use your gifts to bless others! Serving is a great way to get connected, stay connected, and help others connect with Jesus too!  We wouldn't exist as a church without our amazing volunteers!  Discover what it means to be the engine and heart of ministry here at Living Hope Willmar!

BAPTISM

The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20). If you haven't been baptized, whether you've been following Jesus for a long time or are a new Christian, we would be honored to baptize you!

If you would like to learn more about baptism, attend our Baptism Class to find out more information.  We hold these classes periodically and our pastors are always willing to meet with you.

SMALL GROUPS - (year round)

God has hard-wired us for community. It is vital that we are connected to others because spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments: to God and His Word, and a commitment to significant Christian relationships. For these reasons, we believe that having small groups to discuss the Bible, life, family, and faith in a relaxed environment are so important. It is our goal for everyone to plug into a small group! Living Hope’s small groups meet regularly to study God’s Word as well as support one another.

Sunday Life Communities

September - May @ 9:00 AM
Sunday Morning Adult Life Communities are mid-size community groups that meet from September to May before the service at 9:00 AM. We believe that a variety of contexts to meet together as the church is important for our growth as disciples. These groups are a great place to provide connection points and to do so in community. The more traditional title for this ministry could be “Sunday school,” but it’s much more than that; it’s a ministry about community, fellowship, and learning and growing together. We have several groups that meet together every Sunday morning.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership at Living Hope is more than a simple statement of where you worship.  It is a commitment to the mission and ministries of Living Hope. Members serve together as we experience intimacy with God, influence in our community and impact in the world with the gospel of Christ! As you connect with this local body of believers, you can develop a deeper sense of significance and belonging in the family of God.

The Process of Joining Our Family

There are a few steps we ask every individual to take as part of the process of joining our community of faith family here at Living Hope.

One:  Membership Matters Course

The best way to get to know our heart and get a real, in-depth view of our culture and community is to attend our Membership Matters Course.  Visit our Registrations page to sign up.

Two:  Membership Application

A Membership Application provides us with information about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and involvement at Living Hope.  The application may be completed online and is provided as a part of the class.

Three:  Interview With Elders

After you attend the Membership Matters course and your application is received, you will be asked to schedule a time to visit with a couple of the elders in a "get to know you" session.

Four:  Recommendation and Approval

Upon completion of a membership interview, elders will recommend your membership to the congregation at the next Congregational Meeting. Living Hope members will be asked to approve the recommendation(s).
