Personal Reflection & Small Group Questions

Please complete this study on your own, then bring it to your small group for discussion.

1. How do the promises in this passage for children (v2) pertain to your children today?

2. What are some ways a father might provoke his children to anger? How could those same situations be handled better?

3. How are you speaking the gospel to the hearts of your children? How might you do this more regularly?

4. Paul addresses masters and bondservants in verses 5–9. Why should Christians today oppose slavery in all its forms, and how does the gospel provide a better vision of human dignity?

5. How does this passage change the way you work?

6. Stop and pray for your own work situation. Pray for your superiors. Pray for your own heart as you seek to apply this passage.
